General Policies

Administration and use of the Puente Web site and online conference registration are included in the guidelines and policies established by the Regents of the University of California, as stated in the UC Electronic Communications Policy dated Nov. 17, 2000. Use of the Puente Web site constitutes acceptance of the foregoing policies, as well as the following terms:

  • Privacy
We take the issue of privacy seriously and have taken careful measures to secure the information that Puente team members and students may submit to the online training registration and to pages with input and surveys.
  • Registration for Trainings
Certain interactive areas of the Puente Web site are restricted to Puente team members and require registration. After entering the password, team members can access these restricted areas from any computer. As a registered user, you are fully responsible for all activities that occur under this password.
  • Restrictions on Use of Materials
All content hosted by the Puente Web site is proprietary to the Regents of the University of California. Linking to the Web site or its individual pages or articles is permitted; however, neither the Web site itself, nor articles or source materials within the Web site may be reproduced, reprinted, or redistributed electronically, in hard copy, or in any other medium without prior written permission of the Puente staff. Puente Team members request permission to access and use materials by a user agreement form available under the team section of the Web site.

Materials provided to the High School and Community College Puente team members via the password-protected entry are to be used solely for the specified Puente classroom or Puente Program activity. If team members have any questions about the use of these materials, they should contact the Puente State Office staff. Modification of the materials, or use of the materials hosted by the Puente Web site for any purpose other than individual or classroom noncommercial use, is a violation of the Regents' copyright and other proprietary rights.
